10-17-14 Downtown Public Private Partnership P3 Competing Proposals

PUBLIC NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF AN UNSOLICITED PROPOSAL AND INVITATION FOR COMPETING PROPOSALS The City of San Antonio has received and accepted for conceptual evaluation an unsolicited proposal from Weston Urban & Frost Bank requesting approval of a qualifying project. The proposed project includes the development of a new Class A office tower in downtown San Antonio, sale of the Frost Bank Tower to the City to allow for consolidation of City employees in the downtown area and save on lease costs and an exchange of 5 other properties including the Municipal Plaza Building, the Continental Hotel (Health Department) and 2 surface parking lots. The City intends to evaluate the proposal and may negotiate an interim or comprehensive agreement with the private entity based on the proposal. The City will accept for simultaneous consideration any competing proposals for any of these sites that comply with the Public Private Partnership Guidelines and that are submitted on or before 4:00 P.M. on Friday, October 17, 2014. Additional information may be posted during the public comment period (prior to 10/17/14 on this same site when it is deemed relevant including, but not limited to, one or more Q&A documents.
