The City of San Antonio owns a compressed natural gas (CNG) station that was built in 2008 to refuel refuse trucks and is seeking an independent CNG contractor to operate, maintain, and repair said station. The selected respondent shall have the responsibility and ability to bring deficient station equipment back into operation within two hours of a failure under all circumstances by either repair or replacement. The natural gas used by the station is supplied by CPS Energy and is paid directly by the City of San Antonio. Likewise, the station card reader system is managed directly by the City of San Antonio and will not be included under the responsibilities of station operation and maintenance. Average natural gas consumption is 27,424 CCF (20,165 diesel gallon equivalent).
